Everfrost #1

Apr 19, 2021

All in all, this issue was certainly interesting, but a lot of the excitement about a new first issue was quickly replaced with confusion and trying to find my footing in this new world. This series has great potential, that is certain, but currently, the first issue felt like a misfire. I will definitely be checking back in with this series in hopes that I may eat my own words.

Batman: Reptilian #1

Jun 22, 2021

Batman: Reptilian #1 puts a psychological thriller spin on a classic DC character that feels both brand new and hauntingly familiar, in the sense that it is a story we have all been asking for! This is only the tip of the iceberg, and this issue has also raised a set of questions that will keep readers -and this reviewer hooked for issues to come.

Black Knight: Curse of the Ebony Blade #1

Jan 1, 1970

In conclusion, Black Knight: Curse Of The Ebony Blade #1 Is a tremendous leap into the fire with a Marvel character that is long overdue for a new story. I think this creative team will breathe a new life into the character. The story mixes sword and sorcery with modern superheroes, taking the best of both worlds and placing them inside a man whose power is the darkness he suppresses.

Shadecraft #1

After reading this issue a few times, its safe to say Im hooked. I think this story has tremendous potential to be a suspenseful thriller as well as personal drama revolving around a character that is all too relatable as Crazy Zadie. I will absolutely be keeping up with this story and recommending it to everyone along the way.

Shadowman (2021) #2

May 30, 2021

Shadowman #2 is a perfectly paced story that's giving us enough room to squirm in our seats but not enough room to feel comfortable, and all we can do is face the horrors of the dead side head-on. We're witnessing the layers of the plot slowly reveal then turn to ash with every foe Jack dissects. Furthermore, I feel as though we finally see a better in-depth look into the mind of Shadowman. This is, in my opinion, the best book on the stands and a certified page-turner.

Shadowman (2021) #3

Jun 26, 2021

Shadowman #3 is high-octane filled to the brim with action, horror, and maddening foes. The creative team is not holding back any punches in this series and each issue hits harder than the last. I cant recommend this story enough and issues like this are why.

Conan The Barbarian (2019) #18

Jan 27, 2021

Overall, Conan The Barbarian #18 serves as more than just another Conan tale of bravery in battle and sword fighting. It's an interesting look into how deep into madness our hero can be taken and how hard he will fight to return. This interesting sidebar on the march to Khitai has just begun, and now with the trail of blood behind him, our Cimmerian has a lot to answer for. By Crom's beard, he will prevail!

Conan The Barbarian (2019) #19

Mar 10, 2021

Its an excellent beginning to a new arc, with resolutions of the previous issues and staging the future obstacles Conan will have to overcome. Now that Conan has Meiwei alongside him, how will he manage the chaos in his life while also defending an innocent scholar? Unless there is more to her than we know! This reviewer is genuinely excited to continue this series.

Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: The Secret of Chesbro House #1

Jul 7, 2021

Hellboy and the B.P.R.D: The Secret of Chesbro House #1 is a must-buy for fans of the Hellboy universe. This first issue caught me like a sucker punch, completely exceeding my expectations. If you are looking to add to your Hellboy collection or check out Hellboy for the first time this is a perfect example of why Hellboy is such a beloved comic series.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow #1

Jun 15, 2021

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow was absolutely my most anticipated comic of the year. Following the creative team's Twitter hype has proved true! This story is a refreshing blend of classic superhero trope with sword and sorcery themes. The combination of those two genres applied to a character like Supergirl put her in a situation that neither she nor the reader has ever experienced. I am excited to read more and see how King writes another modern classic.

Vinyl #1

Jun 10, 2021

Vinyl #1 beat my expectations to a pulp and has now raised the bar in this genre. If this is how the creative team operates, I am eager to finish Vinyl and wait for their next triumph. This is my personal pick of the week, and there is absolutely no reason you shouldnt be reading Vinyl #1... unless youre scared!

Geiger (2021) #1

Apr 7, 2021

Geiger #1 is a phenomenal first issue and deserves a solid 5 out of 5 from me. This issue delivers all I could ever want and need from a first issue. Tragedy, terror, plot, setting, suspense, and momentum are all present in this issue and it feels like the creative team was harnessing some of that nuclear power to create this story. If this issue is any sign of what is to come from this short run, then sign me up!

Geiger (2021) #2

May 14, 2021

Geiger #2 delivers even more than the previous issue. The kingdom of Las Vegas isnt as glamourous as it seems, and the king is slowly readying to wage war on The Meltdown Man. In addition, we are meeting more key characters while also being kept in the dark about Tariq.

Geiger (2021) #3

Jun 13, 2021

Geiger #3 delivers the best issue of the series yet. It's the most informative issue, expanding on the lore of Geiger while also keeping us on the edge of our seats. Geiger is the type of hero comic we didn't know we needed but now can't live without.

Geiger (2021) #4

Jul 10, 2021

Geiger #4 dives deeper into the history of the protagonist while also upping the stakes for everyone involved. There is a war burning on both ends, and judging by this issue, we will see who will be burned in the end!

Future State (2021): Swamp Thing #2

Feb 2, 2021

Future State: Swamp Thing #2 is a masterful conclusion to the brief but legendary story of what makes us human and why it is someone like Swamp Thing who could fight for us. In the line up of Future State books, Swamp Thing has secured my vote for best book, and I will be re-reading and recommending this story for a long time.

That Texas Blood #7

Jul 3, 2021

That Texas Blood #7 is a continuation of the series that is paving the way for neo-westerns while reinventing itself. The series is winding down the scarier side of crime fiction that has elements of horror and suspense. This issue is a good jumping on point and is a gift to new readers and hardcore crime fiction aficionados alike. Bravo!

The Good Asian #1

Jan 1, 1970

I think every creative mind behind The Good Asian stepped up to bat and hit a grand slam. The Good Asian #1 is emotional, intense, suspenseful and an interesting look into the crime noir genre, flashing a detectives flickering flashlight into the dark corners of history. Not many reviews deserve perfect ratings, but this one blew me away.
