Rocket Raccoon (2014) #7

Although I clearly didn't enjoy this issue as much as I have, I'm still excited for the future of this series. Rocket is a great character, and the situation that Rocket is heading into next issue has me kind of excited. It appears that this was merely a set-up issue, but when you're paying $4 for something that can be read in less than 10 minutes, you expect to be satisified, even if it is just the beginnning. |

Spider-Man 2099 (2014) #8
Jan 28, 2015 |
This issue does cram too much into the 20 pages that David had to work with. The team decided that the Lady Spider universe had to be explored a bit more, losing focus for a bit on the titular character to show what Earth-803 is going through. The ending is a bit vague too; I can't tell if we'll be seeing more of Lady Spider in this universe or not. But since this is the last tie-in issue, I'm hopeful that we can get back into exploring the problems that Miguel will be having back in the 616, especially since we barely had time to explore them before "Spider-verse". |

Angela: Asgard's Assassin #3
Feb 4, 2015 |
While this wasn't a bad issue, far from it actually, it was fun getting to know more about Angela and continuing the mystery if why she's kidnapped her baby sister. The plot barely moved, but it was great to see Angela continuing her threats while Sera sarcastically quips on the sidelines. Also, there's a pretty cool cameo towards the middle. |

I must also point out that the work David Marquez and Justin Ponsor have done with this whole series is fantastic. The layouts, the darker hue of the flashbacks, and the grittiness of the last two issues made me feel as if I was reading a completely different crime book. I have to congratulate the art team for having done every single issue of this volume so far, even if there have to be some delays between issues, although for the most part, it's been on time. |

Thor (2014) Annual #1
Feb 25, 2015 |
Like a lot of annuals, this one is not essential to the core Thor issues. It is merely three writers having fun with our three Thor's without the pressure of continuity. Like all of the annuals that Marvel publishes, it's a tad bit expensive, sitting at a $4.99 price point. If you've got the extra cash this week to get an extra book, by all means get this. It's enjoyable and it made me feel very good, but it is by no means a mandatory reading. |

Thor (2014) #4
Jan 28, 2015 |
While many will continue to decry the new Thor, the readers that are sticking with her are rewarded with a book that looks to satisfy and establish her as a force to be reckoned with. With less of an emphasis on major plot progression and a focus on action and character development, this arc concludes with hope that the upcoming issues will continue to be something to keep looking forward to. |

Thor (2014) #5
Feb 11, 2015 |
Overall, this was a satisfying issue, nothing more, nothing less. It made me anticipate the trouble that our new Thor is going to face , and it was great to see how the rest of Asgard is reacting to all the changes that have transpired in Thor's and The Odinson's worlds. |

Thor (2014) #6
Mar 11, 2015 |
It's nice to have progress in this book, since the past few issues were focused on Thor's power and battlefield capabilities. It looks as if we're in for some more epic action (which is something we all want from a “Thor” title), so the wait for the next issue can't come soon enough. |

Superior Iron Man #4
Jan 21, 2015 |
Out of all the "Avengers Now" books that have come out this fall, "Superior Iron Man" barely had my interest. It seemed like a gimmick at first, and despite liking Tom Taylor's DC work, I didn't have much faith in the book. This issue continues to prove that I should have, because as someone that isn't a big Iron Man fan, the fact that this is becoming my favorite Marvel ongoing speaks volumes about its quality. |
