Book 1 of 5 is an enticing introduction and makes me want to know just as much about Artemesia and the life she has lived as I want to know about the adventures she has been pulled into. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Archie Comics would have to go WAY beyond the beaten path before they could get an even slightly negative review from me. This 3rd Volume in the Archie Meets Batman saga continues to stay true to form.

The cover gave me pause at first. "A Dad Dating Simulator". Ugh! Is this a kissing book? Was my first thought. Instead I began an immediately interesting story about two former college roommates and their night out. You can immediately feel the bond between the two men.

The artistry is a classic superhero comic look. It has detail and vibrant colouring that is absolutely beautiful. The battle scenes have the same feeling as watching a super hero movie. My favourite part about the vibrancy of these panels is the movement that can be seen throughout the full comic.

Right from the first frame Sword Daughter caught my interest. 12 year old Elizabeth's narration of events past and present has a haunting quality to it.
