Overall, this is a fun comic, and. perfect balance between classic Archie nostalgia and modern comics. It truly is an all-ages book, and the separate stories will ensure that there is a little something for every reader. After an intense, suspenseful season of Riverdale and some more serious events in the ongoing Archie title, Your Pal Archie is the perfect, light-hearted addition to the Archie line.

There is no telling what will come in Angelic #2, and not in a way that conveys suspense or intrigue, but confusion and disinterest.

This was a gorgeous first issue and the mini series will likely only improve as we learn more about Antars journey, but ultimately I'll be holding out for an entire series about his mother. This is a beautiful comic rooted in history and heroics, and it is sure to be a success as it develops and brings light to one of the most underrated stories in history.

Overall, this comic feels like a Batman TV special, and it is enchanting. The Legion of Super-Heroes is familiar (though you may be surprised by some of the members!) and the premise for this comic is cute and funny. This is a great comic to pick up for a quick laugh and some solid Batman nostalgia. I wish this was a cartoon, or at least an ongoing series, but it is a great conclusion to the Batman '66 series, and a perfect homage to the late Adam West.

Coyotes is magical, dark, strange, and beautiful. If you are on the hunt for a strong issue with an intriguing blend of mystery, fantasy and badass girls, Coyotes delivers on all fronts. A multi-faceted storyline and gorgeous, nuanced artwork combines to create a world full of real fears and real courage alongside elements of fantasy and horror. This is a story that has a lot of room to grow, and I can't wait to see what happens next- and find out what is fantasy and what is truly, terrifyingly real.

Overall, this was a fun read. Damage has the potential to be an interesting player, and a randy band of anti-villains sneak in toward the end, providing some suspense and anticipation for the next issue. The true problem might simply be that there isn't enough here to support a solo series. Damage only exists for an hour a day, and only so much can happen in an hour. Will these moments of Damage, coupled with 23 hours of Ethan, be enough to hold readers' attention?

This series has started off on a somewhat confusing note, and with a lack of information, positive representation, and innovation, this ends up being another semi-decent action comic.

If you are a fan of classic Disney and Donald Duck comics, or DuckTales (the old and the new), this comics will be a great read for fans of every age.

If you are into sports manga, love comics about strong relationships and overcoming odds, or have a younger reader in your life who would appreciate a good story, Fence #1 is the perfect place to jump in. This is a strong comic with a clear path, and a story that appeals to a wide audience of readers. If you are looking for something new, give fence a try, it won't disappoint.

If you are a long-time fan of Archie or DC comics, or a new fan looking to jump into a hassle-free mini-series, this is going to be a hilarious story, so jump on board!

Hopefully the next part of this issue takes some time to flesh out the plot points that have been introduced in this first issue. The focus seems to be more on a fun Harley romp than an actual story about Harley loving Joker, which was a welcome turn from what I was expecting based on the title. It is worth a read just to get the special glimpse into Dinis secrets about Harleys past, but past that its just a fun book that serves as a nice aside from the rest of the current DC line.

It seems like this creative team (a pretty sweet club of their own) will be able to maintain the relationships and plot twists set up in this issue, and balance it with a little more action. I have nothing but the highest expectations for this series, and no doubt that it will only get better from here.

If you are itching for more of Stranger Things, or missing Halloween already, Imaginary Fiends is the perfect dose of horror, mystery, and nostalgia.

This is a brand new (though familiar) world for Kick-Ass, and hopefully this new take on the universe and a new home at Image comics proves successful for Patience. Like Doctor Who, Spider-Man, or the Flash, the hope is that Patience takes inspiration from the character of Kick-Ass and what he stood for, and creates another aspect to that legacy by taking on the mantle and continuing the fight for justice.

Ragman is a classic character in the DC Universe, and this new series is off to an excellent start. It will be interesting to see how, or if, Ragman factors into the current DC comics and integrates into a more modern Gotham City. With 5 more issues to go, the stellar team on this book should be able to turn out an action-packed mini-series that shines the spotlight on an underrated character. Now all that remains is to see if Ragman will lean into heroics or horror, but it is sure to be an exciting ride either way.

In an industry full of recycled ideas and formulaic storytelling, the Redlands team is flipping the medium upside down, dousing it in fire, and resurrecting it with blood magic.

This issue finally gave me the one thing I wanted most from a Florida based horror story: Gators! The witches are up to some terrible tricks, and new characters are taking the stage. As the plot and cast continue to follow a winding, unexpected path, Redlands is only improving. As far as what will happen next in Redlands… I have no idea. Whatever is coming, it's bound to be bloody, brave, and beautiful.

Redlands is starting to pick up its pace and deliver more supernatural storylines and new stories. As the plot comes together, there are only more mysteries and unanswered questions. I can't wait to see what these witches get into next.

Don't take it from me, though read it for yourself. Just make sure to read it with the lights on.

With so many Marvel Star Wars comics on the market, the separate storylines and solo books can get lost in the mix. With Mace Wind, it may be the case of one too many individual characters getting their own title, when they can't necessarily carry it. This is an old mistake for Marvel, and it would be unfortunate to watch talented teams and great creators get lost in the mix as the Star Wars comics overflow the comic shop shelves. Hopefully Star Wars: Jedi of the Republic Mace Winducan find its stride and bring it around with issue #2.

Lettering on this book is in line with the rest of the Gold Key series, which provides a steady connection throughout the different characters and storylines in this universe. This is most beneficial when different characters interact, as Turok and Magnus would have completely identifiable lettering corresponding to their character and setting, but even in a Turok-focused issue, his specific style of lettering enhances the tone of the book and complements his character. Overlayed SFX and innovative lettering arrangements help to bridge panels and action, creating another layer of art that enhances the action and movement.

I am still having trouble believing that this story will fit into four issues. There are so many winding threads left writhing in the darkness, seeking their end. I expect that the finale issue will escalate in action and bring all the pieces together. This is not an easy read, but it is a refreshing swerve in the plot. the previous issues have focused on a slowly developing story focused on nuance and strategic suspense-building, but this issue brings an element of almost campy, graphic horror that sneaks into the story and comes at a complete surprise. I truly cannot wait for the final installment, though I am sure I will be sad to see this series come to an end.

I rarely recommend single issues wholeheartedly at this price point, but Young Monsters in Love was a fun, action-packed and emotional read. For DC fans and new readers, this is a perfect pick up for Valentine's Day and beyond. DC thought outside of the box this year with releasing this special, and without really prominent characters, it could have easily been a monstrous failure. They took a risk in getting these stories to us, and it was worth it. If you have a spot on your comic shopping list this week, Young Monsters in Love is a fun, versatile read that is sure to entertain.
