The Freeze #2 |
Jan 10, 2019 |
This issue starts getting to the heart of the problems hinted at in the last issue and we get to see the art improve. Which is a win all around for me. It does get a little graphic at the end though. So, that might be a little off putting if you're not expecting it. |

Even though I found some things confusing, I'm still really enjoying this series. It's interesting, dark, and I wish I could just sit down a read a whole bunch of it at once. I get frustrated when I get to the end and realize I have to wait for the next issue to release. |

This issue was alright. It's not bad, but nothing that really grabs at the reader. It's decent filler and hopefully the next issue will be more interesting. |

Fantastic Four (2018) #13 |

At best I can say that this issue was fair. It didn't give me anything that I was hoping for, but it didn't necessarily fail at anything it was actually trying to do. My best description is that this issue is like a plain slice of white bread. It'll give you sustenance, but it's not terribly exciting. |

Star Wars (2014) #57 |
Dec 10, 2018 |
Honestly, I was pretty bored while reading this. I can see the potential for it to be a great read once we get deep into the story, but the setup isn't all that exciting or engaging. The art was also pretty frustrating. In some aspects I really loved it, but in others I found it off putting and it made me disengage from the story. |

This issue is alright. It's mostly world building, which isn't always exciting. Hopefully though the next issue will be more exciting now that the ground work is all laid out. The art is still really great though. |

I really enjoy the world and look of this series. I'm also really interested in how the whole sun god versus death god thing will play out. Unfortunately, I'm not all that impressed with the characters and hope that improves with future issues. |

We've learned enough about the characters that I am actually invested in what happens to them. I'm not just focused on how much I enjoy the art anymore. |

While I had problems with this issue I felt like it was an improvement over the last few. I am definitely excited to see where the story goes with the introduction of these new characters. Hopefully, it's more exciting than what we've been getting. |

Star Wars: Darth Vader (2017) #21 |
Oct 2, 2018 |
It's interesting to see new stories set in the Star Wars universe, but I'm not sure this one stands out as all that special though. The most interesting thing about this book is the fact that it's about Darth Vader. Which has a lot of potential. Overall the book is good, just not amazing. |

Alright, I'm going to give this issue a reasonably good rating, because I loved the art so much. It was that great to look at. Also, I'm trying to not get my hope up, but they're finally going to have a space adventure, and that's what I'm here for. |

We've learned more about the characters and we're getting to see them come face to face with some serious conflict. Unfortunately, the robot made no appearances in this issue. That's not really a deal breaker though. I just like the robot. |

I feel like this series is going pretty strong. Don't let the color scheme fool you though, it's pretty serious. It doesn't have the roaring sense of adventure that I tend to like, but it's still a good time. |

I'm actually really interested to see were this is going and the art was super fun to look at. As weird as it is to root for Darth Vader it was actually really cool to see what all he can do. |

I'm always surprised at how much I enjoy this series every time I read a new issue. I wasn't expecting to like this. Vader is the ultimate villain and it's kind of weird rooting for him as a protagonist. The art and the lore are really great though, especially in this issue. |

I really love this series so far and I enjoyed this issue. My only real problem is that since this issue spent so much time giving us information it didn't move the story forward very much. That's only really a con because I really want to know what happens. Tell me what lives in the bowels of this planet. |

The Freeze #1 |

I really liked this and am having a hard time thinking of bad things to say about it. Even my criticism of the art isn't much of criticism. This story is clearly right up my ally and I would definitely recommend giving this book a shot. It's great if you're interested in apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic stories, but different enough from other stories with similar setups to still be really intriguing. |

This issue was perfect for me. The art is still on point and it hit a lot of storytelling beats that I really enjoy. I especially enjoy the fact that we're starting to see some payoff from stuff that was planted in earlier issues. It's all coming together and it's exciting. Also, the robot is back. It is my favorite character. |
