One by one they were picked off... Aubrey must escape the horror lurking deep in the woods. Leaving a trail of blood in her wake, she'll have to run for her life if she hopes to see the sunrise.
This issue is definitely an action-oriented sequence as there is less dialogue than I had anticipated. The arrangement of scenes is smooth and easy to understand. A great read for horror/thriller fans! Read Full Review
By the end of Croak #3 I can agree as to why Croak #1 was one of the best selling digital books for Alterna in 2016. In terms of digital releases in general, this is a book you want to give a shot if you're into something with a definitive start and end with no bull****. Read Full Review
If you are a fan of horror, there is no doubt. I recommend picking up the two back issues as well. Not so much for learning all the extra details but for going on this great thrill ride, from start to finish. I expect more Croak and am anxiously awaiting it. Read Full Review
Croak was originally meant to be a short film from writer Cody Andrew Sousa. You can see how this could easily translate to the screen. This is a stellar adaptation to the comic medium that keeps the same breakneck pace and tense action you'd expect from a movie, yet it's all on the page. The monsters are terrifying and rival those found in modern cinema. Although this is the end, I'd be curious to learn more about these creatures and what other terror they cause for those foolish enough to venture into these woods. Read Full Review
