Time travelers Alexa and Bertram pursue each other through the decades in a deadly chase. Each is armed with a time machine that has only one rule: it can only move forward in time, never backward. Alexa must leap further into the future, with Bertram never far behind. Caught in the crossfire is Spatz, a teenager from the 1990s who tries to help but instead gets dragged into another time.
I've actually been following the story of The Accelerators for a few months thanks to the I Sell Comics podcast. It was here that the creators took their idea and made it into an actual comic. Everything from printing costs to distribution was discussed, so I was excited to check out this book. Fortunately, the comic delivered. This is now a ten-issue series and I'm definitely in it for the remainder of the story because I have to see where it goes next. Read Full Review
Overall, a unique and scary version of how time travel can affect lives in the worst ways. The story by RFI Porto is exhilarating and puts a new spin on the genre. The art by Gavin P. Smith is gorgeous. Overall, a great book which put the genre on its head and leads it in a great new direction. Read Full Review
The Accelerators is a new take on a familiar genre. Porto and company present a unique story that adds some fun new twists on time travel in comics. Enough is laid out to give the reader a rough idea of what's going on, but the overall mystery will pull you in and leave you wanting more. You can click here to check out the book. 4/5Follow @comicbtherapy Read Full Review

If this is truly the first foray into comics for Porto (as his bio mentions) and Blue Juice Comics then I am excited to see what else they have in store for comic book fans. Anyone interested in something different from the norm, fans of sci-fi/time travel stories or even people looking for historical figures beating each other up (have I mentioned there is a conquistador fighting a redcoat?) should give this a try and put Blue Juice Comics on their radar. All and all, the story, artwork, and dialogue all stand up, coming together in a fully realized and enjoyable comic. The only drawback is that nothing about this comic is very unique. Personally, I trend towards comics that stand out in some way, setting them apart from everything else on the shelf. The Accelerators plays it safe an all fronts. However, I'm still curious what happens in the next issue, and that is the most important thing. Read Full Review
I’m a total sucker for time travelling stories, I love movies like Back to the Future, The Terminator and even Timecop, hey it’s cheesy, but it’s fun. This is a solid beginning for a new comic book company and I’m looking forward to more of the same. Read Full Review
