Everything about this series so far is fantastic! The story the pacing the art just all extremely well done! This first arc gives you a ton of action and plenty of story to get you fully invested but is extremely smart that it only give you a sliver of what is to come to keep you thoroughly intrigued and wanting more! I'm sure there is some game Batman is playing that he has the upper hand but it's interesting or gripping at all IMO. The whole Batman run so far has been nothing but inner monologues of whining about things I call that emo. If you like it awesome I'm glad you do! But for me this entire King run has been an awful mess. Just giving my opinions on this issue not trying change anyone's mind and no one is going to change mine.

This story doesn't make sense. Isn't this whole fight over who gets to kill Batman? So what good would Batman joining a side be? The Kite-Man focus in this issue was totally unnecessary, unlike the previous Kite Man interlude. This story arc has been confusing and pointless. At least the art is great.

The whole reason for the Joker and Riddler's war was over who gets to kill Batman. So already, Batman joining a side makes no sense whatsoever because why would either Riddler or Joker a) trust him and b) not try to kill him? Also, it's not really established why Batman thinks picking a side will solve the problem because technically, he's the problem.

I am very over this run. None of the characters are true to canon and Tom King seems not to care about the timeline at all. I hate to say it, but Batman needs new writer. Disappointing. Janin's artwork is good.
