Weird Science - Branden Murray Aug 7, 2019

Overall Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III continues to be way more fun than even fans coming into the series would anticipate it could be.  The art by the always reliable Freddie E Williams II is a blast to look at and revisit. The next two issues wrapping up this series should be a blast after what these first four have setup. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - CJ Aug 7, 2019

Even though it's light on plot development and action, Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III #4 has plenty of thrills for Batman fan and TMNT aficionados alike. The stage is set for a battle of epic proportions and I cannot wait to see how Tynion and Williams handle the last two issues. Read Full Review

Cop Casey Jones, Batman with a family, Sai, Bo-Sticks and Shuriken. What's not to love about Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III #4? While I really did miss the mind-boggling monochrome inserts from Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman this month, this series is still on fire. Krang's gone cosmic, the Joker's gone ballistic and Batman's gone domestic. Read Full Review

It's the issue that faithful readers have been waiting for. The writing flows, the colored inkwashes of Freddie Williams II catch the viewer's eye, and all character get their spotlight. "Crisis in a Half-Shell" began very confusing but still engaging. It's now becoming a clear plot that I can't wait to see through to the end. See you guys next month! Booyakashaa!!! Read Full Review

Lastly, Shredder is already getting short with Batman and the Turtles. Something says he's going to get into a scrap with them once Joker and Krang have been put in their place. Read Full Review

Comic Crusaders - Chino DT Aug 8, 2019

This comic continues with a good way towards its culmination, but nothing is defined yet and anything can happen, far from knowing if the multiverse will be saved (remember that good guys always win) the real doubt is: How will it be affected the multiverse after this risky and crazy plan of Krang? Batman-News - Jay Yaws Aug 7, 2019

Some really good ideas and character moments are bolstered by some strong art, but hindered by a lack of focus. This issue of Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III feels like a transitional chapter, putting pieces in play for an upcoming conflict without having its own narrative backbone. There are some really interesting ethical dilemmas that Batman is presented with too, but other than a few moments of uncertainty they aren't explored in great detail. Even so, this series has been really strong so far, and this issue is elevated by the strength of its predecessors. Here's hoping the final two chapters are bolstered by the series as a whole rather than collapsing under the weight of lofty ambitions and poor execution. Read Full Review

Comic Book Bin - Philip Schweier Aug 7, 2019

My only complaint with this series is its gimmicky nature. Batman is one of DCsmost successful properties; the TMNT franchise is still going strong ageneration after its debut. Two great tastes that taste great together. Maybethe first time, and a second helping wasnt and either. But if this turns intoan annual event, the novelty quickly wears off, leading the audience to phonein any level of interest they have once had. Read Full Review

It feels like Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III should be more fun. All of the elements are there, but it's not spending enough time reveling in the absurdity of these mashed up characters. Read Full Review
