The origin of Batman...together with the origin of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? The stories are familiar, but through the prism of this altered reality, clearly not the same. An uneasy feeling sets in that everything is not what it seems. But the Laughing Man pays a visit to a familiar Turtles ally to make sure this world stays exactly as Krang has remade it.

Overall, Batman/TMNT III continues to be a very fun conclusion to the crossover trilogy and is so far shaping up to be the best of the bunch. With everyone realizing what is at stake, what they have to do, and recruiting who they need to get there I look forward to how the creative team will bring this series home. Whatever the story may (or may not) lack in appeal, the art is wonderful. I appreciate agood watercolor wash as much as the next reader, but it can be a challenge tomerge it effectively with the heavy pen & ink work of Turtles creator KevinEastman. Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III #3 accomplished its main goal to the series to next phase in the story. James Tynion IV, Freddie Williams II and Kevin Eastman packed plenty of emotion into this issue as Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles started to uncover the truth about this new merged universe. The conclusion of this issue creates a lot of possibilities for where Tynion, Williams and Eastman can take this story as we head into the endgame. Read Full Review
Less focused and more expository than the previous two issues, this is still a pretty solid installment of an overall really good series. While the retelling and combining of Batman and the Turtles' origins won't reinvent the wheel, they're still presented in a way that never feels entirely derivative. With some clever twists and welcome appearances from some beloved characters, this issue is setting up some pretty interesting storytelling opportunities for the second half of the series. The idea New Gotham City, this amalgamation of the DC Universe and the Turtles mythology, is fascinating. Yet we're spending almost no time exploring it. Instead, we're searching out those least changed by it so revert things back. LOVE the reset on the joint origin of both Batman and the Turtles. Worth the price of admission right there.
It's taken me a couple issues as I did not read the prior miniseries. I'm now starting to get the hang of this book, story-wise. This is really good stuff. And it doesn't have narration boxes all over the place like so many books on the stands these days! Actual characters...interact with each other! And they do stuff! What a novel idea!
Art is great. It's so cool that they keep the TMNT style, which is unique in comics.

The reuniting of Batman and Alfred was very touching.
Good issue. It was interesting to see the TNMT origin merge with Batmans origin. The only thing, that is a little annoying, that Joker is the other Batman villain again. Wish DC would use the others for once, not always just him. ( or Bane).
