Already, Marceline Gone Adrift has proven itself a must read for fans of Marceline and Princess Bubblegum, but there's a lot for any fan of Adventure Time to enjoy. The humor echoes that of the cartoon and the artwork is similar, but different enough to give unique interpretations of the characters. Easily, Marceline Gone Adrift #1 is the strongest start for any Adventure Time spinoffs to date. Read Full Review

Now that Ryan North, Shelli Paroline and Brandon Lamb have capped off their amazing run on the main Adventure Time book, the edges of the Adventure Time universe are starting to look more and more appealing. Gran and Pietsch have definitely set up a fun miniseries here for any fan of the show, and I'm excited to see where it leads. Read Full Review

When you think of Adventure Time, you usually think of “Jake the Dog and Finn the Human,” rather than “Marceline the Vampire Queen.” This story is interesting for all Adventure Time fans, but if you love Marceline as much as I do, Adventure Time: Marceline Gone Adrift is definitely for you. All-Comic - Kayla Goulet Jan 12, 2015

As with all Adventure Time books, Marceline Gone Adrift is something you must read. If anything, it's a fun filler book between, perhaps, more serious reads and it's a definite must-read if you're into the cartoon. Just remember: anything is possible in the post-apocalyptic world of the Land of Ooo. So, since this issue ends with a cliff-hanger, who knows what could possibly happen next! Read Full Review

Adventure Time: Marceline Gone Adrift #1 is definitely for Adventure Time fans. It's readable and enjoyable if you don't bring knowledge from the television series, but you will get so much more out of it if you are familiar with Marceline. This is a sweet first issue that sets up a pretty big story. Read Full Review

Rhymes With Geek - Ari Carr Jan 14, 2015

This is a really great first issue, and fits in fantastically with the show's ever-expanding mythos. It looks like this story will be really big on the Bubbline relationship, which I'm super excited to read about. The writing is on point, with Meredith Gran and Carey Pietsch excellently collaborating to bring a strong first issue with an engaging, character-driven story. Read Full Review

Definitely one for the younger readers, especially those looking for a female led adventure story, but still totally enjoyable for the grown-up Adventure Time fans among us. While this book might not be at the top of my pile, its definitely still going to be in there, and I am excited to find out what happens next. The Verdict 7.5/10 Read Full Review
