Is friendship more powerful than fate?
Mamo's angry spirit and moth familiar prove to be too much for Orla and Jo and it starts to look like there is no way out of this except to do what Mamo always wanted.
Will Orla complete the circle and embrace her destiny as the new witch in town, becoming as much a part of Haresden as the tides, or is there another way?

Milledge's five issue one was an excellent read from start to finish with incredible visuals and a salient story. This is going to be a fantastic graphic novel when it's fully collected for younger readers, but even older readers will appreciate the kindness and messaging of the series. It's sweet and endearing, and I think Milledge really gave the book the best possible conclusion they could. Read Full Review
Sas Milledge better come back with a volume 2.
Thematically rich, wonderful artwork, and two fantastic characters.
Mamo is a fantastic story filled with magic.
The series sticks the landing with this last issue, an ode to friendship and selflessness. What stands out about this series is that extra breathing space is given for the characters to interact in a believable way. This isn't uncommon for live action film where you can simply record actors, but its difficult in a medium like comics books where a subtle change in expression requires yet another panel and every page increases the workload significantly.
