We finally see who is behind all of this, how insane he is, and see all of his reasons for what he has done. Aaron searches for a person who is just as much trouble as he is, and ultimately finds that he isn't alone anymore. It's the exciting conclusion of what has been a great story and amazing artwork. It'll be surprising if you know exactly what to feel at this ending. Because there's so much going on and so much to think about, it's hard to come away with one distinct feeling about what happened other than deciding it was a good story. There's a great interaction between Tynion and Donovan at the end as they debrief from creating this incredible story that will - hopefully - help readers debrief and decompress as well. Memetic delivered in three issues what a lot of ongoing series fail to do in its entire run: a complete story that makes you think, with diverse, three-dimensional characters and a plot that makes it easy for us to become invested in said characters. Memetic promised a shocking apocalyptic horror story and it delivered in a big way. It is a fast paced blend of action, terror, and psychological thrills that never slows down, unleashing new chills even in the final panel. Tynion and Donovan have provided an excellent, fast paced ride of a mini-series from start to finish. Memetic has had its ups and downs in the scant three issues of its existence, with a bit of spoiled filler between two substantial slices of bread. I do think that it could have used more time and even pacing, but then I'd also be worried it would dip back into unfulfilling affairs of the heart. I do hope, however, that this team (or something very much like it) can come back, and maybe explore other corners of this universe. As enticing as the ending is, I don't think we need a follow-up (and wouldn't want one), but a parallel narrative would be fun. Read Full Review

Overall, Memetic #3makes for a nihilistic takeon the contemporary social media paradigm, much like it's preceding two issues, but nonetheless a very fascinating and thought-provoking one. Anyone looking for a solid resolution will be disappointed, but that would be missing the point of this comic. The best horror stories are the ones that can tap into the beating pulse of society and turn everyday issues into something truly terrifying — and with this conclusion to theMemeticmini-series, Tynion and Donovan have accomplished just that. I don't want to spoil the story for anyone who is keen to read it (though I'm certainly not going to recommend the series) but the ending simultaneously felt like it left too much unresolved, clipping off in the middle of a thought, while at the same time coming totally out of left field. Not necessarily bad, if you like that sort of thing, but it seems to be something I personally don't like, so I'm going to be personally a bit more wary of Tynion's storytelling in future.
