Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #111 is an excellent start to the Darkest Hour event. Mistress Vile is at the height of her power. Adding in Dark Specter and how he impacts the entire Morphin Grid elevated the threat level the Power Rangers are facing to another level. This issue continues to help the Power Rangers universe continue to grow. Continuing old threads of past arcs, this creative team helps bring alive more potential. The latest big Ranger arc is here after almost a year long prelude, we're up for a full year long story, in short your average length modern comic story. It seems promising already and looks like in Shattered Grid that everyone is going to get caught up in it, and since the rangers' comic universe has since expanded, it's going to have a pretty big cast. From my research it seems even though Dark Specter was the big mastermind in the Space series he actually appeared very little, leaving his underlings to do most of the work, so this story may give the character his first real chance to shine as a real villain and let us see just why everyone seems to fear him so.
