When all is said and done, Origins #2continues the interesting tale that readers were introduced to. The more I learn, the more I have questions. So far, Ive been satisfied with the answers that have been provided, and I hope the creative team can keep up this level of quality for the remainder of the series. Read Full Review

Rebelka delivers some impressive imagery in this issue. Each page is filled with great details and the style is perfect for the type of story being told. I loved the look of this issue and how that style evolves with the different parts of the story. Read Full Review

Origins has a beautifully crafted world, but the set pieces in more respects than one overshadow the story. The story is fine but does not grab me in the same way that the art has and as some of its siblings in the genre have done before. Moments feel good, but in its entirety, I find myself wanting more than the 20-some pages can provide in a month. Read Full Review
An intriguing and original story clawing its way out of the usual 'humanity has ended and the world is run by a limitless A.I.' setting. Read Full Review
The latest issue of the Boom miniseries continues its trek into a strange new Earth but unfortunately, isn't able to give us personality for either the characters or the world featured here. Read Full Review
A frustrating part of the recent flood of dystopian comics and the modern move to write for trades and thus skip the "story thus far" recap at the top of each issue is that it takes a few pages to reorient oneself to "this" story. Fortunately, the Big Backstory happened in the front of this issue, and it is awesome. So well conceived, so well executed. You come out feeling for the main character, understanding the stakes.
And the art! The only thing "comic-y" about it is that they use sequential panels. The characters, the coloring (especially the coloring!) more resembles miniature modernist paintings.
This book is great. Go treat yourself to it, grab the first 2 issues at your LCS today.
