Did the finale deliver? I believe so. The main characters had their big moments and we had the grand finale. Dan Abnett is wonderful for the Alien series; his writing style fits perfectly. With the Alien: Covenant trailer due to hatch any day now it's important that the spirit of the franchise remains true. With Life and Death and Defiance out there, we seem to be in good hands. Or is it claws? Aliens vs. Predator: Life and Death #1 is up next. Stay frosty! Read Full Review
Another chapter closes, but we aren't done with this tale just yet. Aliens: Life And Death #4 was an excellent end to a perfect act of heroism by the likes that we haven't had the pleasure of in a long while. And with that mysterious ending, you surely want to look towards Aliens Vs. Predator: Life and Death with anticipation seeing as though the worst is yet to come. Read Full Review
Though I'm looking forward to the Aliens Vs Predator leg that's coming up and the finishing chapter after it, Aliens: Life and Death right now is definitely my favorite of this cycle overall. A lot of that really is owed to Moritat as he breathed a unique yet familiar look to the property that showed that there are good times and ways to step out from the "house" style that we've gotten for the most part the last few years. The story is pretty solid here as we get the rescue mission going through the ups and downs its has, and the mystery on board the ship in orbit that's going to have things going even worse pretty soon. This is a book that I really look forward to reading as a whole cycle in one sitting in the near future with this leg of it being quite possibly the best piece of it. Read Full Review
Overall, Aliens " Life and Death #4 is a solid chapter in this epic sci-fi tale. It wraps up this particular arc with a satisfying climax and sets up a cliffhanger for the next part of the story. The art is full of bright cartoony colors that matches the fast paced energy of the plot. With all these converging forces of destruction, Aliens, Predators and Engineers, it's hard to know which species is worse. Of course, you can't count out the humans either. Read Full Review
Plot points happen, and the arc does end, but there's something missing. It's unfair to hold that against Abnett though as there are five issues left before this whole story is done, but I suppose I expected something more final seeing as this is a four of four. Read Full Review
