This series might have been better if it hadn't spent so much effort on really implausible explanations about why the general public doesn't know about the spiders. Maybe it needed to just not try to explain anything and lean into the absurdity, or maybe a better explanation could have been found. I like this kind of story, but this was a bit of a disappointment.
