If you've yet to join Conan intreading the jeweled thrones of the Earth under sandalled feet, this comic would be a fine place for you to begin your adventures in the world of Hyboria. The story is great. The artwork equally so. And I cannot wait to see what Truman and Giorello have in store for us next. By Crom, this is Conan at his best! Read Full Review

The Hub City Review - Matthew J. Theriault Dec 29, 2015

Were I but a bard in Aquilonia, that I could rhapsody day and night on the glories of King Conan! But alas, Ive from that true home far wandered, washed up on strange shores, remote and removed and called the Current Era, beset on all sides by softness and safe-spaces and society. Never was the Cimmerian himself captive in so perfidious a prison! But Howard and Truman and Giorello, through such escapist fantasy, hold here the keys to escape. King Conan is no mere fantasy; its very real liberation. Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Chris Smith Dec 23, 2015

Honestly, I love Conan. For me it's one of those comics that is just pure escapism. You can read into them like any other work of fiction, maybe find some type of intelligent deep-reading element hidden within the subtexts, but for me they are better enjoyed at face value. It's just one of those comics that I can slip back into after not reading it for a long time, because the stories are mostly standalone or short miniseries that are easily accessible, and easily digestible. That isn't to say that Truman's writing is watered-down, the stories themselves are well written and really any fan of fantasy should enjoy the adrenaline fueled action that surrounds any Conan comic. King Conan: Wolves Beyond The Border is just classic pulp fun, the perfect distraction from everyday life, forget your worries and let Conan guide the way. Read Full Review
