Artist Ron Chan and colorist Matthew J. Rainwater does an excellent job of capturing the bright, cheery art style of the PvZ games and generally creating an energetic, vibrant cartoon landscape. This is a comic that isn't afraid to think outside the box as far as the source material is concerned. But even more impressive are the backup strips from Dustin Nguyen. Nguyen offers a a similar "chibi watercolor" style as that seen in his Li'l Gotham comics, which ends up fitting this franchise surprisingly well.
