There are quite a few really important plot points in this issue, so I really suggest that you pick it up. You're going to want to be clued in on what you should be expecting from future issues. There is one particular nugget of information on how Leia obtained this new world that you're going to want to read. Star Wars is and has been a great read. As to Leia's pronouncement of her plans to wed and get an entire planet for the Rebellion as a dowry, while still having time to get into some sexually-tense moments with Han, we'll have to see what circumstances occur to throw a wrench into the proceedings and leave Leia free, years later, to marry a certain scruffy-looking nerfhereder. If the above was vague, its only because I still wholeheartedly endorse this book as both an amazing addition to the Star Wars Universe and a great sci-fi story in its own right. You could change the names of all the pre-existing characters and still have a magnificent story, but the fact that its a familiar, beloved universe actually makes it all the more amazing. While artist Carlos D'anda is brilliant as usual, this feels like the first issue where Brian Wood has stumbled. No matter how much of your belief you are willing to suspend, some of the characters' actions and subsequent revelations don't make sense with what has been previously established in the series. This is a nice little issue that brings together the characters and the series so far, especially responding to last issues awesome battle! It is a bit chat heavy and focuses on the characters more then action, but its absolutely worthwhile. Art, writing, colors all continue to improve in this excellent series. Highly recommended!
