Separated from his pirate pals and caught in a sandstorm at an abandoned moisture farm (yes, that moisture farm) with an Imperial agent, a Jedi ghost, and a pair of Anzati assassins, Cade Skywalker has had better days. All he needs now is a visit from his dear old mom!
Oh, and back on Coruscant, the Sith are placing someone new on the throne . . .
The wellexecuted and interesting introspective story struggles to overcome the shortcomings of the art, but eventually wins out with strong character work and a clear effectiveness. This issue isn't making strong claims to be a turning point in the seriesit doesn't have to. Instead the story speaks for itself as the series enters a new chapter naturally, rather than using some sort of sudden, majorly traumatic event to push things forward. Read Full Review
Issue #39 isn't the strongest effort from Ostrander, despite the heaping dose of fanboy appeal, but it does manage to remind readers that Cade still has an epic struggle ahead of him. I look forward to moving beyond this arc and reaching the next stage in the war between the Skywalker clan and the Sith. Read Full Review
