The art in this tale is masterfully done and shows really great polish which is awesome set in the very bright and majestic Roman era. The fighting and scenes of violence were deliciously filled with blood and guts. The writing is masterful in its own right blending fantasy and history together effortlessly. I can easily see this title become the next great fantasy movie franchise. Read Full Review

The artwork by Edgar Salazar is pretty impressive. I loved the panels in which we saw the various vampire characters feeding because they were as graphic as you can get on the comic book page. I also liked his attention to detail with the various uniforms and weaponry of the roman centurions in the story. Read Full Review

The Strain: Mister Quinlan, Vampire Hunter #1 was a fantastic first issue. It had tons more action than I expected and gave us a brief glimpse into who and what made Mister Quinlan. If you're a fan of The Strain, Blade or vampires in general this is worth your time. I'm glad Del Toro decided to bring Mister Quinlan's story to the forefront. Read Full Review

Dark, gory, horrific vampire tale surrounding the "Born," or the result of a vampire/human offspring. This is a powerful read even with limited prior knowledge of The Strain series. Just picture a half vampire half human as an unwilling gladiator bad ass looking for revenge on the evil entity that spawned him. The voice is well written, cold and flawless, but with just enough humanity to make you cheer on the character. One of my favorite mini series to date.
