This adventure in the bowels of New Gotham is a blast, while the conflict above ground raises questions about Barbara Gordon's future. If her tenure at the GCP is nearing its end, will she be a full time member of Team Batman? Will she miraculously be reinstated? If I'm being honest, Man-Bat was never one of my favorite Batman villains. Seeing him in the Batman Beyond universe is something different. Kyle Higgins continues to push this timeline forward and it's great seeing the story develop further. We still don't know the full details of what happened in the year between this volume and the previous but we are seeing more details being revealed. Thony Silas captures the action and excitement and almost makes you forget this used to be an animated show. The arc isn't over yet and it's all continuing to build more and more with each chapter.
