  Interesting, never heard of this. Is Helfer a good Batman writer?

  I'm still kind of getting my bearings with this maxi series. It's definitely interesting, I like the art. Helfer writes competently with Batman in his early days. Plays with his relationship to his parents and how that affects his world as Bruce. It's not wholly original and doesn't feel like the most unique story but the conflict and villain are compelling. Has a bit of mystery which I really appreciate in a Bat-title.
