Even if they survive the soul-eater, the Dark Knight and his companions can only leave Sleeping through a lake of fire. Will it mean escape...or a fiery death? "The Sleeping" finale.
Hey bud, I'm not familiar with this run at all. I see you've generally given it good reviews.
I feel I've exhausted more of the better known critically acclaimed Batman stuff.
Would you say it's worth getting into overall?
Cheers
I definitely feel like this is a great series but it is scattered in terms of quality. Not everything is a winner as it's a rotating roster of writers and artists but honestly they are some of the most fun Batman stories I've read. The idea behind the series is that the stories are supposed to be his early days after Year One but since they aren't connected to one run you can basically just jump around. I'd very much recommend it.
This 3 issue story in particular was great, I love Scott Hampton's artwork after reading his all too short Lucifer intro and I'm very much into Dante inspired story telling and this tickles that itch a little bit.
