Ace the Bat-Hound is locked away in a secret lab run by super-villains! Batman and Zatanna have to pick up the pieces after a magical catastrophe. Wight Witch and Ghost-Maker meet students of their sensei they never knew. Eternity's crimes hit home.
I loved every second of Batman: Urban Legends #12. This series is one of the best, and most underappreciated titles on the shelves. The mix of old and new blood among the creative talents, the characters highlighted and the range of different styles and genres covered elevates the book. DC Comics make the best anthologies out there, and the fact that they do it on a monthly basis with this great series fills me with awe. This is a must buy issue of a must buy title. Read Full Review
The four new stories continue to unfold this month, continuing off a promising set of first installments last month. Read Full Review
Batman: Urban Legends #12 is a brilliant mix of genres, bouncing from the realms of the supernatural and the afterlife all the way to spy thrillers and animal team-ups, with each one bringing something memorable and compelling to the party. Read Full Review
I was definitely much higher on BATMAN: URBAN LEGENDS #11. However, I still thought the last two stories were strong and worth the read. Here comes the problem. Batman: Urban Legends #12 was a big miss for me. Overall, I was not too fond of much of anything in this issue, and as I said earlier, if I weren't reviewing it, I wouldn't be buying it. It's up to you to decide if it's worth the price of admission, but I don't think it is. Read Full Review
I don't really want to go in-depth on an anthology. I just don't have the patience, really. The weakest link here is the Eternity Kid story. It sticks out like a sore thumb. The art isn't as good and the writing is just messier. I hope the finale is better. I'm wary of the character teased at the end of the Zatanna story. I'm very finicky about them, so I hope Ayala can write them well. The Ace story continues to be the best thing I've read since Watchmen #3. And the Wight Witch is a cool Image pitch.
Batman / Zatana - 3/10, comics just shouldn't be this boring
Wight Witch - 9/10
Kid Eternity - 5.5/10
Ace - 9.5/10
