Who needs comics about superheroes when you can read one with a deadly assassin? Kyle Higgins continues to add depth to a comic featuring a killer by moving the story forward while continuing the insane violence. Getting to hear Deathstroke's view of the way the world works adds to helping us understand what motivates and drives him. We are introduced to a new villain and are seeing repercussions to some of his earlier actions. I'm still not completely sold on his bulky armor look but this is what we'd want from a Deathstroke series. Plenty of action and violence while seeing what makes Deathstroke tick. Read Full Review
This comic was okay. It was a fun, brainless little romp, but that's kind of the problem... The first three issues were ALL fun, brainless little romps... Like I said, it's fun to see Deathstroke chopping idiots to pieces, but by the midpoint of the issue, you KNEW what fate was going to befall Legacy #2. Here's hoping things change up just a bit come the next issue, because I really don't know how I'll feel sitting through a FORTH issue of this series nearly identical to the first three issues. The idea behind this title was for Deathstroke to be feared again by showing him actually making good on some assassination contacts, but Higgins has made him too badass for his own good. Deathstroke hardly seems to have any character flaws. His supporting cast tries to challenge him, but he ends those conversations with abrupt claims about how good he is at making people dead. A possibly more interesting solution to the character's problem would have been to show him at a time where he did not slice and dice his way through every mission with ease, or at least give him someone on his skill level who pushes him to his limits. He has killed Legacy twice already, so what motivation does the reader have to fear Deathstorke would not succeed a third time? Read Full Review
The only reason I will still be picking up the next issue is not because I want to give this book another chance. It is boring and I would not bother with it again under normal circumstances. But the next issue will be featuring a crossover between Deathstroke and the Blackhawks, a team of soldiers with advanced technology, or more importantly, the stars of a series I have greatly enjoyed so far in the New 52 under the same name. If some of that title can rub off onto this one, there may just be a chance for Deathstroke after all. Read Full Review
