Green Lantern Corps #18 raises the stakes of the Aya-Hunters storyline by spotlighting Jessica Cruz's struggles as a leader while continuing to build toward the inevitable showdown on Oa. Morgan Hampton gives Jessica Cruz one of her strongest spotlight issues in recent memory while continuing to develop Aya and the Emotional Spectrum mythology. Though it feels like a bridge chapter, the issue delivers strong character moments and genuinely fun action sequences with inventive action and stellar artwork, making it another enjoyable chapter that makes the wait for the next issue all the more agonizing.
