    The story's steely tension sustains itself through the action scenes, and then ramps up on the final page to make the next issue a must-buy. Fialkov has taken so many tropes of the vampire and horror genres and given them such unique and flavorful twists that I feel like I'm experiencing them for the first time. The old seems new and the cliche becomes chilling. With such excellent sensibilities about his material, I'm starting to wonder what Fialkov could do to help out a certain Big Blue Boy Scout.     The Helsing clan is portrayed here to be an extremely militaristic sect with questionable morals who will go to the farthest lengths to achieve their goal, but on top of the awesomeness that they keep in their arsenal, we also get half of the issue dedicated to an introduction to the characters that focuses on a conversation about the morals behind killing not only vampires, but humans as well. If this issue is any indication of the direction the series is heading in then we're sure to have an awesome story on our hands. Read Full Review

    While laying out a lot of interesting threads, the story doesn't pick them up and take full advantage of them. More and more, this title seems more about tone than substance, and that may not be enough for the near future. Read Full Review
