    Andrew has managed to keep his cool despite bearing the weight of the world's vampires, but here he starts to crack. Watching how he reacts to the Van Helsing's surprise attack reveals new facets to his character that fill this issue with impactful choices and consequences. Hats off to Fialkov for taking the tired old conflict of vampires versus zombies and refreshing it with lively dialog and insidious twists. He dips into his own original mythology of the Van Helsing clan to make a threat big enough to challenge the might of the magically supercharged Andrew. As much as we love seeing our heroes get new powers, it's strange how much we also love watching them fall. Read Full Review

    There really isn't much more to say here as the issue read incredibly fast. It's pretty much all monstrous action throughout, but it's freaking awesome and it's further reminding me of the manga series Hellsing. Andrea Sorrentino continues to display his ability to illustrate these horrific scenes in grand fashion, and the book is better for it. Those who clamor for action such as this should really be buying this series, but the issue is that I doubt they'd head to something from the DCU expecting to find what they're looking for.
