Expectations coming into Resurrection Man: Quantum Karma #1 should be tempered. While this series may eventually hew closer to a superhero outing, right now it is anything but that. I pride myself on knowing way too much information on many of superheros. This is one, that I don't know much about. I really enjoyed this one. No big spoilers here, just go give it a read!
Another difficult one to rate because parts of this are 10.
But as a single issue this is not a 10. It will probably read much better in trade.
And what a boring cover for a book with great art inside. Fortunately the variant cover is fantastic.
I don’t think anyone ever wanted to know this much about Resurrection Man. If this is a character you’re into this is probably one of the greatest things you’ve ever hoped to get on the character. I don’t know that this will pull in new readers, it doesn’t feel accessible to those unfamiliar with the character. There are some real over the top moments and the parts that might resonate widely don’t last long enough. The overall concept is fairly bizarre and I feel like this makes it even weirder.
