Before Tonya Lightfoot became Los Angeles' most decorated detective, she was a wee sasquatch roaming the Appalachian mountains, fed a steady diet of tennis and golf (as both of her parents are pros at the local country club) and CSI episodes. But her idyllic life of pranking campers and squatching around the local golf course hits a bump in the fire road when Bigfoot hunters come to the dense forest. Overall, comedian Brandee Stilwell has done a great job of introducing the world to a fun character who is comfortable in her own fur. If you're looking for something outside of the cape and cowl variety, Sasquatch Detective is an inherently enjoyable option. Read Full Review
The origin story lacks most of that (it mostly shows her growing up in the woods with her golf pro/tennis pro parents and younger brother) but still has some funny moments. This is a cute character with a unique voice and wonderfully drawn by Ron Randall. Read Full Review

While I found Tonya pretty amusing, the giant special was definitely too much of a good thing. If you disagree, if the small doses aren't enough, you're in luck. There's plenty Sasquatch to go around in this oversized issue. Read Full Review
The first story about her family was good but the rest of the mini stories fell short.
This was... wow... really not very good. There were so many jokey issues and like the joke was “lol look how different and weird she is, isn’t she different and weird, that’s so gross. But like... that’s the exact antithesis of the point the author claimed to be making? This was honestly a mess and I don’t understand at all why they made this.
