Weekly Comic Book Review - Minhquan Nguyen Jan 20, 2011

The previous writing-art team on Supergirl will be duly missed, but the new is shaping up to be just as good, if not better. It remains to be seen if Peaty will deliver on Spencer's brilliant start, but so far, the future for the Girl of Steel is looking very bright. Read Full Review

Now, it is unfortunate that Spencer is only doing this one issue, but if the arc continues like this issue did we are in for an insane ride. What was set-up in this issue begs for questions to be answered. If you like the series, you'll love the issue and if you've never picked up Supergirl before, then trust that this is a great place to start. Read Full Review

I wish Peaty the best of luck with "Supergirl" #61, and I hope that his contributions to #60 were substantial enough that we don't have to worry. Even with these issues it's still far better than most of what I've read in the series. And with Batgirl and Damian (YES!) set to guest-star in next month's issue I'm actually (and I can't believe I'm saying this) looking forward to a Supergirl comic. Well played, Mr. Spencer. Now just try and stay away little things like senseless child murder and you might be able to get this title back on the right track. Read Full Review
