I can't help but fear the book is going away soon. I am interested in reading more about Lana who is trying to keep her life together. As a hard working, overworked doc in a stressful job trying to be a decent husband and father and son and friend, I can tell you that if I added super-powers to the mix I'd me a mess. I think that Lana reads very 'real' ... maybe too real for people who often turn to comics for escapism. Read Full Review
Worth the buy to see all these characters in action, as they usually play background characters to Superman, but can hold their own as they have in this book. Read Full Review
There was such a fun vibe to this book when it debuted, and I hate to say it, but that has all but vanished since Perkins has taken over writing it. Now its just another bland Superman Family title. Read Full Review
A good start to a new arc, albeit a little slow for incoming readers. Read Full Review
A spooky new villain is enough to charge this issue, which is otherwise the same old stuff; Lana ruminating about the source of her powers. There's enough here to keep one's attention, aided by the exceptional artwork of Sam Basri and Hi-Fi. Read Full Review
Skip this issue and this entire run as this was only part one. Read Full Review
ok art and at least we are starting a new story. Lana still fighting with herself trying to figure out the source of her powers. almost fourth wall breaking. it feels like the writer is apologizing. and a new baddie "Midnight" is coming for her.
Superwoman is a comic that never found its identity and after over a year with this title, I'm starting to wonder, does this title really need to exist at all? I mean you have characters like Zatanna, Swamp Thing, and Martian Manhunter just to name a few, who are sidelined without their own titles and then you read something like Superwoman and you really do scratch your head and go WTF mate?? I really don't care about this issue's new black hole villain or whatever, how can I when the title character is struggling to gain any traction in her own book?
