Another Tales of the Sinestro Corps hit that ties directly into the events taking place in the Sinestro Corps War. Of the three fantastic Tales tie-ins so far, this is the strongest and when this series concludes, I cant wait to read it all in order, knowing the motivations of the major players as I go. Though this issue wades through too much backstory for my liking, it ultimately succeeds by readhing that one magic moment where everything clicks. Much like when Cyborg-Superman's motivations were laid bare in an earlier issue of Green Lantern, it's a touching moment when Prime's layers are peeled away and we see the somewhat childish but wholly understandable source of his boundless rage. This installment of the Tales series isn't as miserable to read through as the others were, and actually provides a little mindless entertainment while it's at it. Whether it really adds to the Sinestro Corps mythos in a relevant way remains to be seen, but it definitely doesn't detract from it like previous one-shots have. Read Full Review
gave me some nice backstory on superboy prime. he is a well characterized villain. All these Tales of the corps tie-ins have shown me the Sinestro corps members all seem to have their own underlying motivations.
I’m not convinced that Superboy-Prime would just let Anti-Monitor off the hook like that. Woods’ art is a little messy and this issue seemed unnecessary, as we’ve gotten Clark’s backstory retold multiple times recently
