While the artwork is a miss for me overall in how it brings everything together, and I'm not a fan of changing artists in a short story like this – even if you go that this is a tale within a tale, the general approach is a decent one. Having Constantine trying to save someone only to be reminded of how bad he is at it is fairly standard fare. The truth is that he is bad at it and was for a long time and still struggles with it. With Midnite orchestrating the tale here, the look at their younger days doesn't paint a good picture of either of them really and it's the kind of thing that should just make Alex flee in general. I'm curious to see if Lore has enough of a trick up his sleeve here to pull it off or if it'll be something simple and easy. Read Full Review
