It is a time of British legend! A young Red Sonja, cursed by mysterious chainmail, seeks counsel with the mysterious MERLIN. She seeks to be rid of her curse, in order to forge a future of fantasy and adventure! She will be pursued by the loathsome GREEN KNIGHT, and if she survives and arrives at the Castle Of Merlin, what she finds would be infinitely more than she bargained for.

With an opening chapter placed in a humble house, the story has plenty of room to get bigger in the course of the issues to come. Given the fact that the story is set to delve into a dark post-Arthurian realm, there's quite a bit of potential for things to get big and epic the further Sonja travels with the cursed chainmail. IMMORTAL RED SONJA #1 is a perfect start to a new adventure for the She-Devil with a Sword. Abnetts writing organically sets the stage for the curse, the quest, and everything you need to know to keep you interested. Sonja is fun character when she is a fish out of water. Take her Amy Chu run in the modern world and the Vampi Sonja team-up from Jordi Bellaire; Sonja versus Merlin is the sort of into the unknown book that has the same potential. Now, at the mercy of an outfit, I bet she wishes, like some of her fan do, that she stayed with the bikini look. Read Full Review
