Highly entertaining and enjoyable read of two untold Sonja tales that contribute to the She-Devil's legend. Worth checking out. Read Full Review
Here's hoping that issue #3 starts to see real story-line progression, rather than the embellishment and romance that has already been added to the legend that is Red Sonja. This is a good start to a series, but it's missing the classic cliff hangers that are the trademark of the genre, and the very reason that keep readers coming back for more and more swords and sorcery Red Sonja action. Legends of Red Sonja helps to expand the adventures of our favorite warrior in a new and exciting way. This is kind of a hybrid mini-series/anthology book that lays things out in an inventive style. As a whole this book was a good read and easy to pick up. There are a few things that don't line up though; one story was talking her up as lazy and the other talked about how ruthless she was as a fighter. It's hard to get a clear picture of the character from just one issue. Ultimately this book is a hard one to judge if you are a new reader, although it's not a bad book by any means. The art is nice and the three stories are written well " it's just hard to form an attachment to Red Sonja without the character being the main narrator of the issue. Overall they are not bad stories this issue just feels disconnected from the larger storyline and as a result a bit out of place. If youre a fan of Red Sonja then pick this up! Read Full Review
Undeterred from the tales of the She-Devil with a Sword's heroics in the first issue, which weren't having the desired effect, Sonja sets out to pull back on the legend a bit in hopes that the group may overconfidence when their paths finally do meet on the battlefield. For fans. Read Full Review
