RED SONJA (VOL. 7) #14 is light on the plot and sidelines the war against Emberfall, but the script is tighter and establishes the basic components of a solid comic. Torunn Grnbekk shows uncharacteristic attention to establishing purpose and motivations, and the art team delivers a great set of visuals. Read Full Review

    Plot
Red Sonja arrives with the witch Dravara who tells her that the way for Erlik's soul to leave his body is to travel to the underworld and leave that wing there. The way is to reach a lake at the end of the forest, but that path is full of thieves and evil people who already have one foot in death.

I'm still confused about why Torunn would start this big battle and then say "ah, screw it" and move away from it completely. We got 2 pages last issue and no pages this issue. She is just tossing it to the side. She didn't plot it out correctly. She should have started the battle later if she wanted to focus on Sonja with the soul. I do like all what she did in this issue, and the art is good, but in the back of my head I keep wondering what happened with the battle.
