This issue: Commanded by their god, the dead trail Sonja as she searches for a way to rid herself of the curse she carries (and just maybe a nice tankard of ale.) But deep in the Pictish Wilderness, there are no answers, only doubt, death and the looming threat of a savage horde on the horizon. But which of her powerful enemies directs the barbarian's sword?
Written By Torunn Gr nbekk and featuring art by Red Sonja super-star Walter Geovani (colors by Omi Remalante, Jr.), this new series dives deep into Sonja's world, exploring the darkness of Hyboria like never before. And what an amazing series of covers: Walter Geovani, Lucio Parillo, more

Plot
Red Sonja arrives with the witch Dravara who tells her that the way for Erlik's soul to leave his body is to travel to the underworld and leave that wing there. The way is to reach a lake at the end of the forest, but that path is full of thieves and evil people who already have one foot in death.
The Trajan clan knows that Red Sonja is going to pass through their territory, so they prepare traps that Red Sonja avoids with her sword, blood and many flying heads. Erlik speaks to Sonja through the decapitated heads, asking her not to go to the underworld.

I'm still confused about why Torunn would start this big battle and then say "ah, screw it" and move away from it completely. We got 2 pages last issue and no pages this issue. She is just tossing it to the side. She didn't plot it out correctly. She should have started the battle later if she wanted to focus on Sonja with the soul. I do like all what she did in this issue, and the art is good, but in the back of my head I keep wondering what happened with the battle.
