I adore Red Sonja in most of her iterations, but it's always a treat when she is given the chance to be more than just a fierce warrior. This is one of the most humanizing issues I can recall and her character is richer for her. Red Sonja and Cub is the type of story that I would be happy to extend beyond just a stand-alone story. While this wasn't the most imaginative story, it was still entertaining and with Lau on the artwork it's hard to pass this issue up. Not a bad one-shot by any means with plenty of taut action to keep the action fans happy. The story isn't breaking any new ground and I would have liked to have seen some homages to Lonewolf, but overall it's a nice adventure. Read Full Review

Red Sonja and cub is a perfectly competent book, but only Red Sonja enthusiasts will find it anything special about it. I cant recommend it to fans of LW&C, and I doubt new readers will be particularly enthralled. Read Full Review
