Another month, and another great issue with no tales used as page stuffers. This black, white and red format seems to allow the essential Red Sonja to shine through and become the full focus of the issue. Dynamite as usual has used an amazing cosplayer for the photo cosplay cover as well. Read Full Review
The second anthology issue works just as strongly as the first and I'm definitely enjoying these short-takes from creators. I can see them shaking it up a bit down the line with one or two stories in each issue instead of three but right now it's a good way to play with some tighter storytelling and to show off a lot more variety. Each of the stories here are fun and enjoyable, distinctive from each other both in script and artwork, making for a very good time to be had. Read Full Review

The final tale, "Listen Close," is memorable for its late twist when the She-Devil with a Sword is hired by King Assuman to find his bride along with other daughters and wives of the kingdom kidnapped by a Gorgon, only to discover the Gorgon offers a far better fate for the women than the chauvinistic king would ever grant them. While not as strong as issue #1, Red Sonja: Black, White, Red #2 should still please fans. Read Full Review
A nice mix of stories and art styles here. It should be said that nobody here really capitalised on the black, white and red colour scheme the way Benjamin Dewey did in Busiek's tale last month.
Meyers - 10/10
Starting off on a high, this is a blinding Sonja short story with incredible visceral art and a writer who's taken time to really investigate the Red Sonja lore. This is the perfect tale for anyone new to the character who wants a 10-page teaser capturing the essence of the She-Devil with a Sword. The ending worked superbly using Comixology's 'Comic Reader' feature. Absolutely brilliant.
Parker/Nourigat - 8/10
Really fun little tale with a more Disney-esque art style - this works really nice more
