In fact, when resident heroes The Powerpuff Girls arrive for a day of fun at the Townsville Amusement Park, they’re shocked to discover that the rides are clogged with lawbreakers and malefactors of every description — and what’s worse, the Mayor himself seems to be responsible for inviting them in!

When Margaret Sutherland plunges into the Hyborian world, she unwittingly becomes a pawn in a battle between cosmic forces. While one embraces reason, all the other knows is the pain of losing a loved one. Christopher Priest reshapes Cimmerian history and challenges Red Sonja's traditional orientation to men in Sonja Reborn #1. Read Full Review
On one hand, it feels like a particularly bizarre episode of Quantum Leap. On another hand...Priest is definitely crafting some remarkably clever bits around the edge of the central plot. Actually...Priest is particularly deft in rendering peripheral characters that feel like they have a great deal of depth. The contemporary policeman at the beginning of the issue seems particularly sophisticated for a minor supporting character. Its going to be interesting seeing this approach fuse with the sword and sorcery fantasy setting. Read Full Review
Sonja Reborn #1 falters in introducing a new version of Red Sonja that heavily leans on the "stranger in a strange land" concept to mixed results. Read Full Review
SONJA REBORN #1 is a baffling misstep, sacrificing coherence for shock value and leaving its protagonist a confused, unlikable mess. It's a comic that tries to be clever but ends up just being bewildering. Read Full Review
I have one word to describe this issue - Unreadable. I buy a Red Sonja book to read about Red Sonja, not Maggie from the UK suddenly popping into Sonja's body. The dialogue is complete crap, and the idea is horrible. So, she's a jealous girlfriend chasing after SKye, whom she instantly recognizes in Sonja's world. Why did Maggie jump into another body, and yet Skye looks the same? Please, explain this piece of crap to me. I was really hoping that after Thorrunn's disappointing run, we would get something good. I guess not.
