Jul 15, 2026Space Ghost Annual #1 is emotionally draining and reminds you why we all have fallen in love with this series and this family. David Pepose proves once again that you can take a superhero story and add immense amounts of emotion and heart to it. Replacing the normal superhero tropes with real dramatic stories, while still delivering a kickass adventure on top of that is a testament to the entire team on this series. Jul 13, 2026Space Ghost Annual #1 does a fine job wrapping up the current Dax, Jace, and Jan character arc, setting it up to potentially go in a new direction in future issues. Dax’s struggle over whether to continue with them–or continue at all–says something definitive about the trio’s relationship. The Super Powered Fancast - Deron Generally
Jul 15, 2026Pepose crafts a thoughtful, engaging and compelling story in this issue. The story is more subdued after the big action of the previous arc and gives the reader and the character a moment to breathe and take in the changes that have been happening to Dax and the kids. It’s an entertaining story with heart and not only has some great learning moments for Space Ghost but also introduces a new arc that I am really excited about as a kid who grew up in the 80’s.
