On Comics Ground - Paul Smerdon

We finally see the Shadow's world, and it is dark. I also like how the past is shown to explain why certain actions are taken in the future. More clues are dropped in another brilliant issue, telling this story of an antihero trying to bring justice to the world. Read Full Review

If nothing else they've got me all in on the book. When they finally let loose, I know it will be amazing. Read Full Review

Despite the dual impostors, our mysterious man back in costume, and Worthy's continued storyline, it doesn't feel like a particularly exciting issue. The ending leaves much to be desired as it falls back once again on Cranston losing his mind and shouting what seems to be plot-relevant nonsense. Hopefully this return to madness will be properly explained in issue #5. Read Full Review

Dynamite's retooling of some oftheirlicenced characters has had some high points, Red Sonja for example, and some low points, Vampirella. This fits firmly in the middle of the batch. That, for me is kinda disappointing when I am such a Shadow fan. Read Full Review

I get the concept, but some if it is just confusing for me. Hopefully this turns around in the next few issues. One minute the hospital nurse is mad at The shadow the next they are best friends. Shadow speaks in these almost riddle like sentences. The whole Worthy Delaney thing didn't make much sense either. Not sure what to think except the art was pretty good.
