This twisted (yet aesthetically comforting) tale continues with Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees: Rite Of Spring #2 , giving us a look into Sam's perspective. If you enjoyed the first installment, it'll be like catching up with old friends. If you hadn't read the first one, this is still a pretty good starting point. Either way, it's a good time. The second issue of this arc catches the reader up on whats been going on with Sam and the town of Woodbrook. Patrick Horvath does an excellent job of bringing the reader up to speed on the goings on in Woodbrook, well at the same time introducing some new wrinkles to the story. Horvaths introduction of WebLynx the internet service, is a great way to expand this world. My only detraction is there are a few parts of this issue that bog down a little with what appears to be filler about the town folk. But, even with that this issue is filled with some really good stuff. Read Full Review
Rite of Spring #2 finds Patrick Horvath at his sharpest, balancing small-town detail, unnerving character work, and Sam's terrifying calm with a narrative that ties back perfectly to issue #1.
