While it perhaps doesn't have the same shock factor of the first issue, there's absolutely no doubt that Snyder and Sherman are crafting something truly memorable here, and if you're a fan of slow-burn ing psychological horror with a sickening hook, I truly can't recommend this series highly enough. Another great issue. I really like this mystery they are building and it feels like it progresses each issue.
The pace is brisk, but not crowded or choppy. Some of the thriller beats, such as the end of this issue, feel a bit standard and predictable--but the horror notes are working well enough to make up for it. Very enjoyable with strong visuals.
