Already this series feels like a grand statement for fans of the game series. Tess Fowler was made for this series; her art style really pops here. Its whimsical, fantastic and oh so magical… please dont hate me. B Dave Walters gives us a world we would like to be a part of, its silly when need be, and the consequences seem real. Im excited for more. Read Full Review

A lively opening issue then, and with the final page throwing an intriguing wrinkle into the group dynamic, Ill definitely be coming back next month to see just what brought our cast of characters to this point. It's perhaps still a little too soon to tell exactly how this story is going to play out, but as introductions go this is definitely a strong one, and is well worth checking out if you love fantasy as much as this creative team clearly does. The creative team shows a real understanding of what questing should feel and look like, so Dungeons & Dragons: A Darkened Wish has some definite promise. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Forrest Hollingsworth Mar 20, 2019

A fascinating, fun, and frustrating first issue. A Darkened Wish will need to give its narrative and art some more breathing room to really cohere into something interesting, but all of the pieces are here for a great adventure indeed. Read Full Review
