Overall a great first issue that has brought back some fond memories of the animated series that I loved to watch back in the 1980s. Read Full Review

The final pages throw yet another Forgotten Realms stalwart into the mix, along with the promise of a lot more swashbuckling action in the issues to come. And, while there's nothing particularly revolutionary at play here in terms of the story, if you're a fan of either the cult classic cartoon or D&D in general, you're definitely going to love watching these two worlds collide in such a fun, energetic way. Well worth a look. Read Full Review

I was a fan of the original animated series, but this just isn't it. I would have liked them to push it a little further since, at this price point, it's not about bringing children in, but about nostalgia. The artwork is plainly horrible. Drizzt and Bobby get tossed off a cliff in one panel and pop back onto the cliff in the next. There's no set up to where Shiela is, she just appears in a floating pirate ship. Why do writeres assume that we read the previous run? This is a one and done for me, unfortunately.
