Comic Book Therapy - Cody Nov 26, 2013

Mooney gives us a huge blockbuster film in a six issue comic. Half Past Danger has quickly become one of my favorite miniseries and I hope we get a sequel before long. If you want Indiana Jones with a dash of Jurassic Park and a hint of Captain America, this is absolutely a comic you have to read. Read Full Review

Following The Nerd - Andrew McCarroll Dec 4, 2013

For my money, Half Past Danger has been the book of the year. High concept books often find themselves running out of steam once the novelty of the initial premise has wore off. Mooney smartly has framed his story around interesting characters that in lesser hands could easily have come off as a greatest hits of other facets of serialized fiction. The story has ripped along with an excitement and humour that is sadly missing from an age where being darker and realistic are too often confused with being better. For all their good work in releasing a title with no distracting advertisements that allowed the story to flow, IDW have dropped the ball with the oft delayed release of the final issue which has cruelly robbed the book of its momentum. All-Comic - Ian Stephen Nov 26, 2013

Not sure what else you could want from a six issue series; Half Past Danger brought plenty to the table and was a perfect adventure story. These days the entire genre of adventure is actually pretty rare because so many people either do it wrong or don't know how to do it all. One hopes Mooney does return to do more Half Past Danger in the future because it's a great series and there is room for more stories but if he doesn't these 6 issues would be fine too. Now that I'm familiar with Mooney and like his work it will be exciting to see what he works on next as either a writer or artist. If you happen to have missed this series, now that it's complete would be a good time to read it and see for yourself. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke Nov 27, 2013

I'm not sure if this series will continue; there's no definitive info on that one in the issue, but if it does I'll be first in line. That said, this conclusion didn't match the quality of the previous issues, mainly in the plotting department. It does look amazing, loose ends are closed and you get to experience these characters for a few more pages. Overall a good book, but doesn't meet its own lofty standards from the previous issues. Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal Nov 27, 2013

Overall this was a rewarding ending to the series. It's a bit on the happy side as far as endings go, but there are some real emotional moments in the issue and final pages in particular. Though it was a solid ending the pacing could have been better. The ending, ending itself wasn't particularly necessary and could have been dropped in favor of more action, but it is what it is at this point. If you've been following the series it's definitely worth finishing the journey. Read Full Review
