"The Root of the Problem" Part 2! Twilight and friends journey to the heart of Everfree Forest to find out what has been causing its inhabitants to flee. What they find can only mean trouble for Ponyville!
Overall, a great conclusion to "Root of the Problem." While Aspen's character suffers a little, the deers in general are very good. Blackthorn steals the show every panel he's in. The ponies themselves don't actually do much as oppose to just talking, but that's okay since they're here to assist, not be the main stars. I'm going to miss the deers and the Everfree Forest, but at least we have wrestling coming up! Read Full Review
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic #28 is as wild as the Everfree forest itself, and My Little Pony continues to be a wonderful book for readers of all ages to share. It's bright and fun, with unique characters and a playful style. As we saw in this story arc, there's always a new part of Equestria to explore and new characters to meet, and there's no telling where My Little Pony will take us next. Read Full Review

All of my praise of Issue #27 still stands here: The art is fantastic, and the writers have managed to juggle multiple characters flawlessly, giving everyone the right amount of personality without slowing the story down. There are also plenty of background gags to be uncovered. Spike and Rainbowdash also deserve a nod for being awesome. Read Full Review
